A chemical engineer with a degree in Chemical Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and a postgraduate degree in Quality Engineering from the University of São Paulo (USP), an industrial property agent, working in the Patent Department in the Chemical, Pharmacy and Biotechnology areas in both the administrative and judicial spheres, as well as in matters related to Access to Genetic Resources, Associated Traditional Knowledge and Benefit Sharing.

A member of the Intellectual Property Committees at the Brazilian Industrial Biotechnology Association (ABBI) and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Co-coordinator of the Patent Commission at the Brazilian Intellectual Property Association (ABPI), a Member of the Cultural Board at the São Paulo State Intellectual Property Association (ASPI) and Co-coordinator of the Advanced Professional Training Course on Industrial Property at the Brazilian Association of Industrial Property Agents (ABAPI).
