Dr. Ma is a researcher and serves as Director of Pharmaceutical Division, the Patent Examination Cooperation (Beijing) Center of the National Intellectual Property Administration (hereinafter referred to as “CNIPA”). She is a high-caliber professional of the CNIPA, a leader of the first batch of patent-related analysis projects of CNIPA, a member of the Review Business Steering Group of the Patent Office and an expert in the Beijing Center. Prior to that, she temporarily worked in the Patent Reexamination Board of CNIPA.Since 2002, Dr. Ma has been committed to reviewing application of patents for invention, has participated in studies on multiple major academic topics of CNIPA, and has organized and taken part in patent early-warning analysis, preparation of patent strategies and many other community service projects. As a leading person in charge and author, she supported the completion and publication of five volumes of patent information analysis reports, organized and prepared five books and published over 10 professional articles. Dr. Ma has been awarded the title of “Outstanding Researcher” at the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Academic Board of CNIPA. She is experienced in technologies and legal consulting concerning patent review and patent matters.
