Mr. Yunchuan(“YC”) Zhou, having been an IP judge for 14 years, has deep understanding of China's intellectual property law and practice and also has a reputation for formulating creative, reliable and effective legal strategies. He focuses on litigation of patent, trade secrets, trademark, copyright, unfair competition, antitrust, technology contracts and other commercial disputes.

Before joining Saelink Law, Mr. YC Zhou worked as Of Counsel at Jones Day, where he assisted some of the world's largest and most successful companies in their high-profile and complex patent, trade secret and trademark disputes in China.

Before joining Jones Day, YC Zhou served as an IP Judge in the Supreme People's Court of China for more than seven years, during which he handled more than 300 IP cases, and a number of such cases were selected as the Guiding Cases and Examplary Cases in China. Besides, he participated in drafting judicial interpretations relating to patent, trademark, anti-monopoly, and civil procedure issues. He had also served as a judge at Beijing No.1 Intermediate People’s Court, where he had adjudicated more than 700 intellectual property cases.

YC Zhou has authored and coauthored a number of books and book chapeters on intellectual property litigation in China, including, “Litigation on Trademark Grants and Reviews——Rules and Cases”, “Defenses in Patent Infringement Actions”、“Selected Chinese Patent Cases” (Wolters Kluwer Law & Business Press), “Landmark Trademark Cases in China--An In-depth Analysis” (Wolters Kluwer Law & Business Press). He is also frequently invited to speak on Chinese intellectual property law and practices.
