Mr. Yi is the head of Case Filing Division and Technical Investigation Office of Beijing Intellectual Property Court (BIPC), a member of BIPC Judicial Committee and a level-3 Sr. Judge of BIPC. From March 1995, Mr. Yi started to work on professional trials of intellectual properties, and participate in hearing and studying more than 5,000 cases of intellectual properties. The cases he tried have been listed in the Top 10 Cases of the Supreme Judicial Court (SJC) and the Top 10 Intellectual Property Cases with the Greatest Research Value in China. His judgment paper won the third prize of the Intellectual Property Judgment Paper of China and the first prize of Intellectual Property Judgment Paper of Beijing. He formed the technical investigation office and established a set of regulations on the management system of technical investigation, which has been highly recognized by the SJC. He also co-authored several books and published research articles on important journals. He has been awarded twice with Individual Merits Class III. Meanwhile, he has won several honorable titles including Beijing Excellent Judge, Beijing Excellent Patent Worker, Beijing Intellectual Property Trial Professional Skill Pacesetter and Beijing Trial Professional Expert.
