Prior to founding TiPLab, Dr. Zhang worked as an IP specialist at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati (WSGR). Before that, she was a patent attorney and the biotech group leader of CCPIT. Dr. Zhang has extensive experience practicing before the Chinese Intellectual Property Office, the Patent Reexamination Board, and the Chinese courts, including the Supreme Court. 

Dr. Zhang has helped clients from both biotech and pharmaceutical industries discover, patent, and effectively protect their innovations, which often involve a combination of various technologies, such as molecular biology, stem cell, immunology protein engineering, moleculardiagnostics, and adapted therapy etc.

Dr. Zhang has a B.S. degree in Biological Sciences from Tsinghua University. She then obtained her Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from University of Zurich. Dr. Zhang also holds a M.Sc. degree in Intellectual Property from ETH Zurich.
