She specializes in intellectual property protection in the sectors of pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, pesticides, chemistry (organic and polymer), and materials. She provides clients with comprehensive legal services, including patent applications, patent reexamination and invalidation, administrative litigation, infringement litigation, antitrust litigation, trade secret protection, as well as patent validity analysis, infringement risk analysis, trade secret analysis, freedom-to-operate (FTO) opinions, and patent portfolio strategy.

Liu Yuanxia excels in integrating her experience in examination and retrieval, court proceedings, and litigation representation to holistically assess patent stability and potential infringement risks, delivering practical and effective solutions for clients. Additionally, she has drafted a substantial number of applications for domestic companies, earning consistent praise from clients for her work in patent portfolio strategy and the construction of claim protection scope.

After founding Origintelligence Intellectual Property Law Firm, Liu Yuanxia has handled over 400 patent infringement and invalidation litigation cases, primarily in the pharmaceutical and chemical fields, including many complex and landmark cases. Cases she represented have been selected as typical intellectual property cases for multiple consecutive years. She has also provided clients with over 400 legal opinions on FTO analysis, validity analysis, authorization prospects analysis, patent portfolio strategy, and trade secret analysis. Prior to founding Origintelligence Intellectual Property Law Firm, Liu Yuanxia was a partner and patent advisor in the intellectual property department of Jincheng Tongda & Neal. She provided comprehensive intellectual property-related legal services to multinational corporations and Chinese companies across various fields, including pharmaceuticals, chemicals, electronics, and machinery. She handled nearly 100 cases involving patent infringement, invalidation, ownership, and trade secrets, including many complex and landmark cases, some of which were recognized as typical intellectual property cases. Additionally, she provided clients with nearly 100 legal opinions on freedom-to-operate, infringement analysis, validity analysis, authorization prospects analysis, patentability analysis, and patent strategy consulting.

Liu Yuanxia began her intellectual property career in 2002. She worked at the China National Intellectual Property Administration for seven years, during which she was selected to serve as a people's assessor at the Beijing First Intermediate People's Court due to her outstanding performance. She presided over nearly 120 intellectual property cases, primarily involving patent reexamination, invalidation, and infringement disputes. During her tenure at the China National Intellectual Property Administration, she served as the director of the organic chemistry division and possessed extensive experience in examining domestic and PCT patent applications, as well as unique skills in literature retrieval and analysis. She examined over 600 domestic and international applications, was recognized as an outstanding examiner for multiple consecutive years, and consistently conducted training on retrieval for new examiners.
