After eight years of experience as an examiner at the Patent Office and the Patent Reexamination Board of CNIPA, Mr Zhao Buzhen transitioned into intellectual property service in 2013.

Now a partner at Shanghai Hiways Law Firm, he has been committed to a wide range of legal services related to patent over the years, including patent application, patent reexamination and invalidation, patent infringement analysis, due diligence, patent administrative litigation and infringement litigation, administrative investigation of patent infringement, and licensing of patents.

With profound understanding of pharmaceutical IPR and rich experience in this particular field, Mr Zhao has brought his cases into the annual lists of typical cases selected by the court or the Patent Reexamination Board for many years.

He was trained at the China University of Political Science and Law, after obtaining bachelor’s degrees in both medicine and finance from Zhejiang University.
